I happen to like the Tanzer 22' (whatever...BLJ,<br />I happen to like the Tanzer 22' (whatever amount of metres that works out to). Not acquainted with the Tanzer 7.5 M (which works out roughly to 24.375') but neither was Ernest Hemingway. Pretty sure he was not a 'meter' kind of guy at all, and neither am I really. I didn't mean to start a metres vs miles rant or kilometers vs parsecs kind of debate so sorry for that.<br /><br />There is a Tanzer 22' at our club that races with the #1 spinnaker division that usually cleans up on all the 30+ foot boats that have five or more crew on board. The T 22' is sailed by a young, energetic couple who usually clean up the race course if they can finish at all. A fast little racer/cruiser.<br /><br />One question though about the Hemingway look-a-like sailing with his boat fenders deployed: was he afraid you guys were going to hit him? I know you guys weren't racing for a sardine dish so looks didn't matter that much but I'd bet that Papa Hemingway would have died trying to at least pull the fenders up on deck so he at least looked good while doing it!<br /><br />Nice post.
